About the Journal

KKU Journal for Public Health Research is an academic journal published by the Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University. The journal was established in 2008 to serve as a scholarly platform for the dissemination of research findings in the fields of Environmental Health Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Education and Health Promotion, Public Health Administration, Biostatistics and Demography, Epidemiology, and Nutrition.

The journal was originally published quarterly, with one issue every three months, totaling four issues per year:
Issue 1 (January–March), Issue 2 (April–June), Issue 3 (July–September), and Issue 4 (October–December).

Starting in 2025, the publication frequency was revised to one issue every four months, resulting in three issues per year as follows:
Issue 1 (January–April), Issue 2 (May–August), and Issue 3 (September–December).

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to a rigorous quality assessment process under a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

  • Manuscripts submitted by authors from external institutions are evaluated by a total of three (3) peer reviewers, consisting of:
  • Two (2) external reviewers from different institutions, and
  • One (1) internal reviewer from the institution responsible for publishing the journal.
    All reviewers must have appropriate expertise in the relevant field and must have no conflicts of interest with the authors.
  • Manuscripts submitted by authors affiliated with the institution responsible for publishing the journal are evaluated by three (3) external peer reviewers from different institutions.
    All reviewers must be independent and have no conflicts of interest with the authors.

The peer review process aims to ensure the academic quality, originality, and integrity of all articles published in the journal, in accordance with accepted ethical and scholarly standards.
