The Journal of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University (JMPHUBU), Volume 9, Issue 1 (2026), is published in an online format with three issues per year. The journal holds ISSN: 3027-673X (Online) and has been recognized as a Tier 2 journal by the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) for the period January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2029 (Approved by TCI 2025–2029), reflecting its academic quality and credibility at the national level.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process by three qualified reviewers per article to ensure scientific quality, validity, and integrity. The journal maintains transparency by publishing the list of reviewers in the final issue of each year.

This issue comprises seven articles that address key challenges and priorities in the health system, with implications at both service delivery and policy levels. The topics span health promotion and disease prevention among older adults, health service system development, pharmaceutical care improvement, child health screening, and the management of critical clinical conditions. These include: the effectiveness of six-stage walking meditation on balance in older adults; development and evaluation of pharmaceutical care processes for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus; proactive screening systems for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in primary school children; strategic public health management processes; incidence and predictors of late-onset sepsis in preterm infants; prevalence and associated factors of antimicrobial resistance in intensive care units; and a comparative effectiveness study of denosumab versus zoledronic acid in patients with osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes.

The knowledge generated from these studies extends beyond academic contribution, offering practical implications for health policy formulation, health system strengthening, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. Collectively, these contributions support improvements in quality of care, reduction of disease burden, and enhancement of overall health system performance.
