ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research and development were to develop the self-care promotion program on behavior, self-care of chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease at home and to test its effectiveness of behavior self-care of chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease at home. Two phases included 1) the development of self-care program with an application of self-care, education and training of chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease and social support, and 2) Program testing samples from chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease at home. This research has two groups, the same size and the experimental group; 35 of each. The research tools Consisted of 1) the self-care promotion program 2) In-depth interview 3) The self-care questionnaires And 4) Behavioral behavior assessment. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test independent and pair t-test.
The results showed that 1) From the interview, chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease. Patients has self-care ability is well cared for by assessing their daily routines in caring for the patients. Relationships with family members are quite good. However, Long-term illnesses and increased complications from chronic kidney disease result in many problems, and there is a need to get help to ease the burden on the family 2) After the experimental program, the mean score of the experimental group had an average score of Self-care ability and self-efficacy behavior higher than the control group (p=0.000).
Suggestion Long-term follow-up of the program is recommended to determine the durability of the program and The study of patient care ability, chronic disease patients with chronic kidney disease of the family.
