ความเข้าใจข้อความบนฉลากยาตามโครงการโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริม การใช้ยาอย่างสมเหตุผลของผู้ป่วยนอก: กรณีศึกษาจังหวัดเพชรบุรี

บทคัดย่อ
วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาความเข้าใจของผู้ป่วยนอกต่อข้อความบนฉลากยาตามโครงการโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมการใช้ยาอย่างสมเหตุผล และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรูปแบบฉลากยากับความเข้าใจข้อความบนฉลากยา วิธีการ: ตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยหรือผู้มารับยาที่แผนกจ่ายยาผู้ป่วยนอกของโรงพยาบาล 8 แห่งในจังหวัดเพชรบุรี 400 คน การวิจัยเก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามที่มีคำถามวัดความเข้าใจฉลากยาไอบูโพรเฟนชนิดเม็ดของแต่ละโรงพยาบาล ผลการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่างในแต่ละโรงพยาบาลมีความเข้าใจข้อความบนฉลากยาแตกต่างกัน ตัวอย่างทั้งหมดเข้าใจถูกต้องเกี่ยวกับจำนวนเม็ดในการรับประทานยาต่อครั้ง กลุ่มตัวอย่างมากกว่าร้อยละ 70 เข้าใจถูกต้องเกี่ยวกับชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทย ความแรงยา ข้อบ่งใช้ยา และเวลาในการรับประทานยา ส่วนคำเตือนมีเพียงร้อยละ 23.5 เท่านั้นที่มีความเข้าใจ รูปแบบฉลากยาที่มีคำว่า “ชื่อสามัญ” นำหน้าชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทยและรูปแบบฉลากยาที่แสดงชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทยหลังวิธีใช้ยามีความสัมพันธ์กับความเข้าใจชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทยที่เพิ่มขึ้น (P=0.001, 0.023) การระบุความแรงยาในหน่วยภาษาไทยมีความสัมพันธ์กับความเข้าใจความแรงยาที่เพิ่มขึ้น (P=0.003) ขนาดตัวอักษรวิธีใช้ยาขนาดใหญ่และการไม่ใช้ข้อความ “เมื่อมีอาการ” มีความสัมพันธ์กับความเข้าใจเวลาในการรับประทานยาที่เพิ่มขึ้น (P= 0.028, 0.004) การแสดงคำเตือนหลังข้อบ่งใช้ยาหรือหลังชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทยมีความสัมพันธ์กับความเข้าใจคำเตือนที่เพิ่มขึ้น (P<0.001 และ <0.001 ตามลำดับ) สรุป: รูปแบบฉลากยาที่ทำให้ผู้ป่วยมีความเข้าใจมากที่สุด ได้แก่ ฉลากยาที่มีคำว่า “ชื่อสามัญ” นำหน้าชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทย ระบุความแรงยาในหน่วยภาษาไทยคำเต็ม ระบุอย่างชัดเจนว่าควรใช้ยาเมื่อมีอาการใดสำหรับยาที่ใช้เมื่อมีอาการ ระบุวิธีใช้ยาด้วยตัวอักษรขนาดใหญ่ และแสดงคำเตือนหรือข้อแนะนำหลังข้อบ่งใช้ยาหรือชื่อสามัญทางยาภาษาไทย
