Nursing Administration Model Development by the Network Involvement for Covid-19 Patients in the Field Hospital

Somdejphrajaotaksinmaharaj Hospital has a large field hospital. Operational guidelines during an outbreak were immediately required. This R&D research aimed to develop the Nursing Administration Model for Covid-19 patients of the field hospital. There were two phases: (1) R1-Analysis of the situation by focus group interview among 59 nurses and content analysis was employed, developed model by creating through focus group, tried and tested, (2) R2- Evaluation effectiveness was conducted with samples of 89 nurses and 168 of Covid-19 cases in November-December 2021. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected. The instruments were (1) field hospital nurses' administrative manual, (2) brainstorming guide, (3) administrative readiness questionnaire, (4) nurses' self-efficacy questionnaire and (5) assessment of the satisfaction of the management. Four components of the model were 1) emergency operations center, 2) management readiness assessment, 3) Covid-19 outbreak nursing management guidelines and 4) network involvement. The stusy found that perceptions of the nurses' self-efficacy were at the highest level. The participants rated the highest level of satisfaction with the model. Preparing personnel, supporting various devices, participatory planning and collaboration from all sectors were the significant factors in caring for Covid-19 patients. This model is beneficial for nursing management in field hospitals as it closes the gap in overloading of work resulting in good results in caring for Covid-19 patients.devices, participatory planning and collaboration from all sectors were the significant factors in caring for Covid-19 patients.
