Participation care is priority to quality of life in kidney transplantation patients. This research and development by mixed methods pioneering survey research and development had four phases and objectives were 1) explain participation situation by in-depth interview with 10 informants, 2) investigate factors affecting of community participation which had five significant factor & (published already) 3) develop community participation model by using statistically significant factors influencing participation from Phase 2 as data to raise questions for focus group discussions with 18 informants 4) evaluate effectiveness of community participation model by quasi- experimental research which was divided into experimental group and control group of 30 each. Quantitative data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis (MRA) and paired t-tests. Factors affecting community participation were high income, social role of government officials, regular participation for community activities, community care and social support. A community participation model was NEWTAI, compounded with six elements such as 1) nourishing social support 2) enlightened about kidney transplantation care 3) warming remuneration for participation 4) team community kidney
transplantation care 5) activities and trustful adjustment in service system 6) integrate community participation and information linkage. The effectiveness of model found that after the experiment, the experimental group participated and took care of patients more significantly than before (p < 0.001). Therefore, this model should be employed for caring of kidney transplantation patients
