Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to develop and do usability test of data management program for refill extemporaneous preparation in pediatric patient at outpatient department (OPD) at MAHARAJ NAKHON CHIANGMAI HOSPITAL. Methodology: Exploring the recent version program and steps of service for refill extemporaneous preparation by observation and semi-structure interview. Developing an additional function as needed. Usability test the program among pharmacists. Evaluate from successful, timing to success, steps, and satisfaction. Result: Develop the program based on Visual fox pro which is the recent program. Pharmacists are familiar with the program but reduce steps of works. We add function of operation report and follow up schedule. We conduct 3 scenarios for usability test. Four pharmacists success to complete the scenarios. The first scenario takes the longest working period. Too many steps of working and errors are found in the first scenario. It may be because of the first time user, even though we provide the manual of use. The system usability scale (SUS) shows high satisfaction in grade A and B. Conclusion: Development of data management program, which based on operation system and program analysis, shows ease of use, high efficacy, and high satisfaction
