Personal Attributes and Leadership Soft Skills Affecting the Performance under the Standard practice of the Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital Directors in Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to study personal attributes and leadership soft skills affecting the performance under the standard practice of the sub-district health promoting hospital directors in Khon Kaen province Thailand. 195 personnel randomly selected through simple random sampling from 248 population. This study collected both quantitative and qualitative data. The Focus group guidelines was used to collect the quality data from 12 people’s key informants, The data distribution was performed by descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, minimum, maximum and The inferential statistics Pearson’s correlation, multiple linear regressions and Stepwise multiple linear regression. The leadership’s soft skills and perfomance under the standard practice were at high level with averages 4.34 (S.D.=0.41) and 4.45 (S.D.= 0.39), There were five factor of Such leadership’s soft skills were: leadership’s soft skills, coaching, personal development, teamwork and initiative can predict standard practice of the Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital Directors in Khon Kaen Province at 72.0 percentage (R2=0.720, p-value<0.001).
