Personal Attributes and Organizational Commitments Affecting the Performances of Public Health Personels in accorded to the Quality and Outcome Frameworks for Service Quality Criteria at Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

This cross sectional describtive research aimed to study personal attributes and organizational commitments affecting the performance of public health personnel in accord with the quality and outcome framework for service quality criteria of Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Maha Sarakham Province. The sample was 175 personnel randomly selected through the stratified random sampling from 742 population. This study was collected both quantitative and qualitative data. Focus group guidelines were used to collect the data from 12 key informants. The questionnaire was examined and verified by three experts for content validity with all items were contained the IOC values more than 0.50 for content validity and tested for reliability Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient of organizational commitment at 0.93, the performance in accord with the quality and outcome framework was at 0.89 and the whole editions were at 0.94. All of them were analyzed using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, minimum and maximum, and inferential statistics including Person’s product moment correlation and Stepwise multiple linear regressions that the statistical significance was set at p–value<0.05.

The results showed the organizational commitment, performance of public health personal in accorded to the quality and outcome framework for service quality criteria were found at high level with averages score of 4.21 (S.D.=0.47), 4.27 (S.D.= 0.42) respectively. There was moderate positive relationship between training experiences, organizational commitments and performances of public health personnal in accord with the quality and outcome framework for service quality criteria significant levels (r=0.476, p–value<0.001) and (r=0.374, p–value<0.001) respectively. Stepwise regression analysis revealed that the training experiences, the strong intention of remaining with members of organization, trust acceptances of goals and values of the organization, could join predict the performances of public health personnels in accord with the quality and outcome frameworks for service quality criteria, 32.6 percentage.
