Health Risk Assessment of Nurses in Inpatient Department a Case Study in Tertiary Care Hospital, Nakhonratchasima Province

This study is cross-sectional descriptive study. The purpose of health risk assessment of nurses in Inpatient Department a case study in tertiary care hospital, Nakhonratchasima province. The participants were composed 126 nurses of Inpatient Department. The research instruments ware questionnaires and health risk assessment in hospital. The data was analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum.
The study indicated that Nurses in Inpatient Department knowledge of safety in work most of them were in the moderate level, 57.10% ( =14.10, S.D.=2.10) behavioral safety in work most of them were in the moderate level, 51.60% ( = 2.48, S.D.=0.50) and various risk factors, it is found that the level of risk is unacceptable of the bacteria, the virus, the needle or the sharp edge. And the secretion of patients splash into the mouth or eyes. The high risk of radiation exposure from x-ray, drug resistance, chemicals and inappropriate gestures.
The findings of the study show the health hazard and the level of risk in work of nurses in Inpatient Department a case study in tertiary care hospital, Nakhonratchasima province. For to be the basic information for risk monitoring and creating awareness of the rules and regulations for safety in the next work.
