Translate Health literacy in Providing Public Health Activities

Abstract

Health literacy is a relatively concept in health promotion. This concept is greater
in detail than knowledge and literacy. People who had optimal health literacy had capable
in responsible for their health, family and community. Moreover, health literacy has been
affected to improve health outcomes. Clarifying the concept and definition are essential.
This article aim at presenting definition, significance, component of health literacy, transfer
the concept to practice, and the way forward of health literacy. Therefore, public health
personnel will be able to deliver heath services in enhancing health literacy.
