Administrative Factors and Administrative Process Associated with Practicing of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Prevention and Control of Health Personnel at Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Mukdahan Province

This descriptive research study aimed to investigate administrative factor
and administrative process associated with practicing of dengue hemorrhagic fever
prevention and control of health personnel at Sub-district health promoting hospital,
Mukdahan Province. Population in this study was health personnel which be worked
at Sub-district health promoting hospital, Mukdahan Province in fiscal year 2015
about 305 cases, and the sample size calculating used Daniel formula for 158 cases,
and systematic random sampling was determined. Data were collected during
November 2015 to April 2016 using questionnaires which composed of 4 parts
including, characteristics, administrative factors, administrative process, and practicing
of dengue hemorrhagic fever prevention and control of Tumbon health promoting
hospital. In addition, validity was checked by 3 experts and tried out for testing
reliability by Cronbach’s coefficient alpha about 0.90. Association analysis was
determined using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient.
The results showed that administrative factors including man, money, and
material had mean score with high level ( X =2.86, S.D.=0.34), an administrative
process including planning, organizing, directing, co-ordination, and reporting had
mean score with high level ( X =2.93, S.D.=0.24). Moreover, practicing of dengue
hemorrhagic fever prevention and control including, disease surveillance, outbreak
controlling, support to coordinate network, organization participatory, prevention
and controlling in community support had mean score with high level ( X =2.93,
S.D.=0.24). An association analyzed found that administrative factors and
administrative process were associated with practicing of dengue hemorrhagic fever
prevention and control of health personnel at Sub-district health promoting
hospital, Mukdahan Province with statistically significant (r= 0.569, p-value= 0.046,
r=0.070, p-value= 0.038, respectively). It is suggested that chief executive should be
support an appropriate administrative factor adequately for all health personnel
worked at Sub-district health promoting hospital, and support to coordinate network
for internal and external committee community network for practicing of dengue
hemorrhagic fever prevention and control.
