Developmentof Quality Referral Systemin Emergency Patients between Hospital of ChiangKhwan Hospital, RoiEtProvince

Abstract

This Action research aims to study 1) The development of emergency
referral system. 2) Effects of the development process of emergency referral
system. 3) Key Success Factors for the Development of Emergency Referral
System between hospital of Chiang Khwan hospital, RoiEt province.The 30
targeted participants are Hospital Management Board, Medical doctor,
Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate, Nurse Aides, Ambulance
Driver. The workshop for practice in the referral system in emergency patients
was conducted. Data were collected by meetings record and interviewing
questionnaire.
The results showed that there are twelve standards of referral system in
emergency patients Chiang Khwan hospital, namely, 1) The availability of
ambulance car, 2) The availability of the equipment on ambulance car, 3)
Security systems and reducing risks during in the process forward, 4) Personal
in Referral to Ready, 5) Information system and technology, 6) Drug, 7) A
guidelines of cost.8) Good governance, 9) Movement and Fixation Patients,
10) Patients and relatives to Ready, 11) Ready between Referral and 12)
Relieve the anxiety of patients and relatives.
The project was implemented through Plan, Action, Observe, Reflection
process development. It is found decreased inappropriate referral in
emergency patients and clear guidelines referral system and all personnel
involved in the project. The key success factors are 1) Command and
Community. 2) Knowledge. 3) Help and Habituate, so called ‘CKH Model’.
