Sub-district Health Service System Development Performance of the Directors at the Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals in Nong Khai Province

Abstract

This cross sectional descriptive research aimed to study motivation
and keys success factors of subdistrict health service system development
performance of the directors at the subdistrict health promoting hospital in
Nong Khai province. The population were 74 personnel and focus group
guideline was used to collect the data from 12 people’s key informants who
can provide intensive information on the topics. This study was collecting
quantitative data and qualitative data. The questionnaire was examined and
verified by the three experts for content validity Item objective congruence
all item at 0.67 and tested for reliability with the alphaCronbach’s coefficient of
0.95. Data were collected between March 23th, 2017  April 23th, 2017. The
data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics including percentage,
mean, standard deviation, median, minimum, maximum. The Inferential statistics
were Pearson product moment correlation and Stepwise multiple linear
regressions were also utilized. The level of statistical significance was set at
0.05.
The results showed that the level of motivation, the keys success
factors of subdistrict health service system development performance of
the directors at the subdistrict health promoting hospitals in Nong Khai
province were at high level with averages of 3.95 (S.D.=0.48), 3.99 (S.D.=0.49)
and 4.05 (S.D.=0.51), respectively. The motivation and keys success factors
had high positive relationship with subdistrict health service system
development performance at a statistical significant level 0.05 (r=0.824,
pvalue<0.001), (r=0.705, pvalue<0.001), (r=0.815, pvalue<0.001) and (r=
0.781, pvalue<0.001), respectively. The keys success factors including
developing for the quality of health service, policy and administrative
motivation, administrator’s support and motivated job description, these
four factors could predict subdistrict health service system development
performance of the directors at the subdistrict health promoting hospital in
Nong Khai province at 83.4 percentage.
The problems and obstacles were lack of the continuing of
monitoring and feedback of the health data between the subdistrict health
promoting hospitals and the community hospitals. The participation from
stakeholders are needed to concern.
