Knowledge and Motivation for Developing Behaviour of Environmental Health Standard in Hairdressing Shop Operators, Srisaket Province

Abstract

This survey aimed to study knowledge and motivation for compliance of
environmental health standards of owners of hairdressing shops at the Srisaket
Province. Data were collected by a questionnaire from 34 hairdressing shop operators
at the Muang district, Srisaket province, who participated in the beautiful bright and
health care project. Data were analyzed by using conventional descriptive statistics.
The study found that, knowledge about environmental health ranged from low to
moderate levels.The motivation among the hairdressing shop operators to
improve environmental health was mainly at high and moderate levels and the
same was true for the behavior of shop owners.
