Abstract

This participatory action research aimed to study a model of waste management
in accordance for hill tribe sociological sustainable in Paklang subdistrict, Pua district, Nan
province. The participants were 92 person by purposive sampling. Data collection methods
were included the focus group discussion, in-depth interview, observation and field note
and group discussion. The qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis.
The results of this study revealed that a model of the waste management of hill
tribe community comprised 1) Analysis of the problem and the potential of the community
2) Competencies with community leaders 3) To bring the project into compliance 4)
Evaluation It was found that the community has an attitude adjustment and a habit in the
correct waste management create other creative activities continuously. As a result. The
waste has been reduced at 39.37. The environment of the community has been developed.
And the people were satisfied with the operation 100 percent.
Recommendations from research: Guidelines in problem solving achievement is
development of competencies of the people in the community in the management of the
waste problem. To find and analyze the problem of true community to design the process
and use of technology in accordance with the community's sociological.
