Abstract

This is the research supporting Routine to Research (R2R). It is a cross-sectional
descriptive research. The data was collected from 237 participants. The participants were
selected using systematically random sampling. The data was analyzed using descriptive
statistics which were frequency distribution, percentage, average, standard deviation,
median, maximum and minimum. X2-test statistics, odds ratio and 95% confidence interval
were used to analyze quantitative data. The results showed that the majority of the
participants were females whose ages range from 19 to 65 years, 72.2%. Almost half of
them were 46 to 60 years old. They earned 2,200 baht to 35,000 baht (Median=9,000).
Their highest education was primary school, 68.0%. Almost 87.6% had Universal Coverage
(UC). Most of them were agriculturist, 45.5%. Their satisfaction towards medical services
was in the middle and low levels, especially in the points of accessing services, privacy and
treatment quality. The participants’ satisfaction was in the middle and low levels only.
Gender was the factor related to the satisfaction that has no statistical significance. It was
also found that female participants were 1.18 times more satisfied than male participants
(95% CI=0.59-2.45). Age was the factor related to the satisfaction that has no statistical
significance. The participants whose age was over 50 were more satisfied than the participants
younger than 50 years old, 1.44 times (95% CI=0.77–2.68). Level of education was the
factor related to the satisfaction that has no statistical significance. It showed that the
participants who had graduated higher than primary school level were 0.64 times more
satisfied than those who graduated primary school (95% CI=0.31-1.28). Occupation was the
factor related to the satisfaction that has no statistical significance. It was found that the
participants who were not agriculturist were 0.81 times more satisfied than those who were
agriculturist (95% CI=0.44–1.52).
