This research studied (1) the implementation and enforcement of the Alcoholic Drink Control Act, 2008 and (2) the perception of alcohol sellers about this act. The study was conducted as a quantitative research. Participants had been 717 shop owners within the Udonthani and Khon Kaen provinces. It was found that 80 per cent of the shops investigated in Udonthani sold alcoholic drinks during the prohibited times. Three out of four of the participants from the two provinces were unaware that they violated the regulation of not selling alcohol at particular times. They also sold alcoholic beverages to customers younger than 20 years. Seventy five per cent of the sellers in both provinces know about the regulation not to sell alcohol drinks in certain places in contrast to their general ignorance to stop selling alcohol beverages at certain times. It is concluded that the knowledge about and understanding of the Alcoholic Drink Control Act, 2008 should be better promoted and the regulations should be more strictly enforced.
