Organizational Culture of Nondang Hospital: Qualitative research

Abstract

Objective: To describe organizational culture of Nondang hospital. Methods: This qualitative research collected the data by documentary analysis and in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview form in   15 hospitals personnel consisting of 2 hospital directors, 5 members of hospital administration board and 8 practitioners.Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data Results: All 4 types of organizational culture were present at Nondang hospital including 1) clan culture, 2) hierarchy culture, 3) achievement culture and 4) adhocracy culture. Clan culture and hierarchy culture were dominate. Conclusion: The organizational culture of Nondang hospital was the integration of all 4 types with 2 dominant types. In order to appropriately response to continuously changing external environment, the hospital should create more adhocracy culture and achievement culture.
