Abstract

This study is quasi-experimental research aimed to study effectiveness of medication using literacy program on medication use behaviors among hypertensive patients in Pho Sai Ngam health promoting hospital, Bueng Na Rang district, Phichit Province. Sixty samples were hypertensive patients in Pho Sai Ngam health promoting hospital participated in this study. Sampling method was two-Stage sampling, each thirty subjects in both experimental and control groups. Pre and post-test questionnaires were used in this research. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, Paired t-test and Independent t-test. The results shown were: medication use behaviors among hypertensive patients were higher than before participation in medication using literacy program and were higher than control group.
