Abstract

This research study to factors of related to health promotion behavior of elder. Firstly, the research samples group is a group of elderly people aged 60 years and over who live in real areas. Wherewith, these data have been recorded since August to December 2017. Meanwhile, the tool used to collect data is a questionnaire about general data, Self-efficacy and Perceived barriers to health promotion and behavior. Additionally, the data were analyzed by using correlation coefficient. The resulted that the most respondents were female, 62.1 percent with age between 60-69 years to 72.3 percent and having marital status 62.8 percent. For education level, at the primary/equivalent level 71.6 percent. No disease 50.5 percent. Moreover, the sample group had an average score of overall health promotion behavior at a moderate level. Perception of self-health and barriers promoting ability on health promoting behaviors. Moreover, all these factors, such as gender and marital status have no relationship between statistics.
