Nursing Data Analysis Using Data Mining Techniques

Abstract

In the nursing profession, there are various information and databases. But the identifying patterns of data relationships hidden in the data set are called "Data mining”, there is a few utilization. The purpose of this article is to provide an introduction to data mining for nursing. Data mining algorithms are divided into two major groups:  (1) predictive (supervised learning) and  (2) descriptive (unsupervised learning). Three of the most widely-used data mining algorithms such as classification (decision tree and neuron networks), clustering and association rule.  Analysis results from data mining reveal, knowledge creation and useful discovery for decision making.
