การฆาตกรรมที่เกิดจากการฆ่าตัวตายแบบซับซ้อน

การฆ่าตัวตายแบบซับซ้อน หมายถึง การฆ่าตัวตายด้วยวิธีฆ่าตัวตายมากกว่าหนึ่งวิธี โดยทั่วไปการฆ่าตัวตายวิธีที่สองเป็นการทำให้ แน่ใจว่าการฆ่าตัวตายจะต้องสำเร็จถ้าวิธีแรกไม่ทำให้เสียชีวิตได้ รายงานฉบับนี้ได้นำเสนอ กรณีการฆาตกรรมร่วมกับการฆ่าตัวตาย โดยผู้เสียชีวิตชายอายุ 42 ปี ได้ใช้วิธีฆ่าตัวตายสองวิธี คือ การกินสารกำจัดวัชพืชและจุดไฟเพื่อเผาตัวเอง อีกทั้งยิ่งกว่านั้นขณะที่จุด ไฟเผาตัวเองได้ก่อเหตุด้วยเจตนาฆ่าภรรยาเก่าและสามีใหม่โดยการขับรถที่ราดน้ำมันติดไฟพุ่งเข้าชนบ้านภรรยาเก่า นั่นคือผู้เสียชีวิต ฆ่าตัวตายด้วยวิธีซับซ้อนก่อนก่อเหตุฆาตกรรม ซึ่งปกติมักพบการสังหารผู้อื่นก่อนที่จะฆ่าตัวตาย
