การใส่ฟันตัดแท้กลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟัน

ฟันแท้หลุดจากเบ้าฟันเป็นการบาดเจ็บที่รุนแรงของฟัน พบมากในเด็กและวัยรุ่น มักเกิดในฟันตัดบนซี่กลางซึ่งส่งผลต่อความสวยงามของใบหน้า การรักษาโดยการใส่ฟันกลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟันทันทีเป็นวิธีรักษาที่แนะนำและให้การพยากรณ์โรคที่ดี อย่างไรก็ตามการใส่ฟันกลับทันทีอาจไม่สามารถทำได้จึงจำเป็นต้องใช้แนวทางปฏิบัติอย่างเหมาะสมและให้การรักษาอย่างรวดเร็ว รายงานผู้ป่วย ฉบับนี้ได้นำเสนอการใส่ฟันตัดบนด้านซ้ายซี่กลางกลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟันในผู้ป่วย 1 คนซึ่งฟันหลุดอยู่นอกช่องปาก 3 ชั่วโมงโดยเก็บแห้งได้รักษารากฟันก่อนใส่ฟันกลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟันด้วยวิธีกำจัดเนื้อเยื่อในโพรงประสาทฟันและอุดรากฟันด้วยกัตตาเปอร์ชา จากนั้นใส่ฟันกลับเข้าที่และเข้าเฝือกด้วยลวดเหล็กกล้าไร้สนิมและคอมโพสิตเรซิน เมื่อติดตามผลการรักษา 1 ปีฟันที่ใส่กลับเข้าที่ยังคงสวยงามและใช้งานได้ปกติ แต่พบฟันงอกต่ำกว่าระนาบการสบฟัน 0.5 มิลลิเมตรและการละลายของรากฟันชนิดแทนที่ด้วยกระดูก ซึ่งเป็นภาวะแทรกซ้อนที่พบได้ในกรณีที่ใส่ฟันที่หลุดกลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟันช้า แม้ว่าการละลายของรากฟันชนิดแทนที่ด้วยกระดูกจะไม่สามารถหลีกเลี่ยงได้แต่การใส่ฟันกลับเข้าสู่เบ้าฟันหลังจากฟันหลุดจากเบ้าฟันเป็นเวลานานยังเป็นการรักษาที่ดีในการเก็บรักษา กระดูกเบ้าฟันก่อนศีรษะและใบหน้าจะเจริญเติบโตเต็มที่
