การดูแลผู้สูงอายุตามหลักพุทธจริยศาสตร์: Health Care for the Elderly, According to the Buddhist Ethics
บทคัดย่อ
Thai society is going to be an aging society. The elderly had physical, mental, emotional and intellectual deterioration which affected their quality of life, families and society. The majority of Thai are Buddhist. Thus, the problem solving and caring of the elderly should rely on the Buddhist Ethics to maintain their quality of life and living happily in the society. Three marks of existence should be considered with four area of developments such as physical development related to environment, moral development to live happily with other people, spiritual development to be morality, kindness and happiness; and finally, intellectual development to understand the reality of the world. In conclusion, application of the Buddhist Ethics as guideline in holistic care of the elderly should be nurture to keep happiness of the physical, mental, emotional and intellectual of the elderly.
