Inter-professional collaborative practice in district health system: key success factors of quality in healthcare

Abstract
The goal of the District Health System (DHS) was to maintain good health for all individuals in catchment areas which are driven by several sectors. These included public health system, local communities, and people sectors. The concept of Inter-professional Collaborative Practice (IPCP) are cooperated through health care teamwork which is used to develop health care system due to social determinants of health management. This IPCP concept can contribute to improve patient safety and to reduce health care costs. Moreover, this response addresses the needs and job satisfactions related to cooperation among healthcare workers. The IPCP concept are utilized to develop health care cooperation. The knowledge base, understanding and competency are required among healthcare workers to enhance group coordination. This article described the definition and the importance of IPCP, IPCP competency domain, a facilitator and a barrier of IPCP, and the suggestions to improve IPCP in teamwork and the district health system.
