Singburi Hospital Journal welcomes submissions of academic works that provide medical knowledge and disciplines related to medicine and public health for publication. Articles are encouraged to be written in Thai with an English abstract. The journal is published every four months, three issues per year.
Issue 1: January – April (manuscripts must be submitted within January; the issue is published by April 30)
Issue 2: May – August (manuscripts must be submitted within May; the issue is published by August 31)
Issue 3: September – December (manuscripts must be submitted within September; the issue is published by December 31)
Manuscript preparation
Prepare manuscripts using Microsoft Word 2010 or later, single-sided, 1 column, on A4 paper (210 x 279 mm). Set margins to 3 cm on the top and left, and 2.5 cm on the bottom and right. Insert page numbers consecutively at the top-right corner. Use TH Sarabun PSK font, size 16; main headings should be bold. Submit the article as both Word and PDF files.
The writing format for each section follows these guidelines:
First page includes:
Title: concise and reflecting the main objective of the article; written in both Thai and English.
Author(s): first and last name(s) in both Thai and English, including academic qualifications and the author’s affiliation/workplace.
Abstract: includes Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion; provided separately in Thai and English. The Thai abstract must appear before the English abstract. The English abstract should not exceed 250 words.
Keywords: at least 3–5 words, listed in alphabetical order (Thai keywords arranged according to the English order).
Main text (format depends on article type)
Academic Article: a report of study/exploration/research results. Should include, in order: title, authors, Thai and English abstracts, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references (preferably not older than 10 years). Length should not exceed 10–12 pages.
Research Article: an article compiling knowledge on a topic from various journals or books, domestic and international. Includes: introduction, search methodology, reviewed content, critique, and references. Length should not exceed 10 pages.
Case Study: a report of study and analysis of patient data for an individual or a group. Includes: introduction, case study, nursing diagnosis, case summary, critique and recommendations, conclusion, and references.
Case Report: a report of an unusual patient case, or a new disease/syndrome not previously reported, or a rare condition with clear and complete evidence. It may sometimes include a Clinical Note, describing uncommon clinical features and/or an atypical clinical course. Includes: introduction, case description, critique/observations, discussion, conclusion, and references.
After the editor receives a manuscript, the author will be notified of one of the following outcomes in accordance with the journal process: “revise before publication consideration,” “accepted without revision,” or “not considered for publication.” For articles accepted for publication, the editorial office will provide the author with 2 copies of the journal issue and publish the article via the online journal system. Authors must pay the publication fee before the article is sent to reviewers for evaluation.
Once the publication fee has been paid, the journal will not refund the fee under any circumstances.
Article revision for publication
Authors must revise the manuscript and address all questions as recommended by reviewers and the editorial board, indicating or highlighting what has been revised and explaining any points not revised. The revision must be completed within 2 weeks.
