Nursing Care in AIDS Patients co Pulmonary tuberculosis: Case Study

Tuberculosis (TB) is common opportunistic infection in AIDS patients and is the leading cause of death. Nursing care of AIDS patients with pulmonary tuberculosis should be work planning as a holistic care covers physically, mentaiiy, sochially and spiritually of the patients. This case study applied from the Godon functional pattern to assess the patient’s health. Functional health pattern has identified the eleven assessment guideline. This study found that step-by-step nursing can reduce health problem of AIDS patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.
This case study suggested that the care of the patients in AIDS patients co Pulmonary tuberculosis should be a continuous monitoring cycle of nursing process. The multidisciplinary team for the patient preparedness covering all dimensions as a holistic care to gain the better quality of life.
