Development Model to Upgrade Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) Standards in Drugstore, Singburi

Abstract

This research is a participatory action research. (Participatory Action Research-PAR). To develop an operational model to raise the standard in accordance with Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) in the drugstore. of Singburi province. The sample consisted of 46 recipients of drugstore licensing. Conducted from April 2018 - April 2019. Data were collected using a questionnaire, interview, group meeting. The process of developing a model to raise the GPP standards in this drugstore. Use the Quality Cycle (PDCA) to define the participatory operating process for licensees and pharmacists. As well as evaluating the satisfaction of the recipients of the drugstore. That has passed the standard evaluation. Data analysis by using descriptive statistics and Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that after the licensee had a self-evaluation by the staff, according to the standard criteria, there were 36 drugstore that voluntarily participated in the development process using the format of 36 drugstores, passing the criteria of the number of 11 stores, 23.9 percent. Mostly passed the criteria Category 3 Personnel Assessment results after the development process Standardized by using the model, found that stores that voluntarily join the development process pass all 36 shop assessment criteria. Overall average scores of standard evaluation and more categories classified was a statistically significant difference (p<0.01). As for the evaluation of the satisfaction of service recipients that have been GPP certified found that the service recipients are satisfied at a high level in terms of structure, personnel, equipment, quality control and pharmaceutical services, respectively.
