The Effectiveness of Dental Health Education Program on dental health behavior among Prathomsuksa 6 students of Sahasartsukas School, Sub –district Rimkok, Muang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The purpose of this quasi – experimental research was to study the effectiveness
ofdental health education program on dental health behavior of Prathomsuksa 6 students
Sahasartsukas School,TambonRimkok, Muang Chiang Rai District,Chiang Rai Province. The
samples selected by Simple random samplingwere divided into two groups.The
experimental consisted of 33 Prathomsuksa 6/1 students in the second semester of
academic year 2550 received dental health education program. The control group
consisted of 30 Prathomsuksa 6/2 students received regular health education program. The
instrument was questionnaire constructed bythe researcher. Percentage, mean, standard
deviation, Dependent samples t-test and Independent samples t-test were applied for data
analysis.
The results of this study were as follows :
1. After receiving the dental health education program, the students in
experimental group had significantly better knowledge, attitude and practiceon dental
health behavior than before receiving the dental health education program at .05 level.
2. After receiving the dental health education program,the students in
experimental group had significantly better knowledge, attitude and practice on dental
health behavior than the students in control group at .05 level.
