Management Model of The Master Healthy Kids Healthy Food Schools, Health Region 1

Abstract

     This qualitative research was purposed to study the management model, success factors, problems, obstacles and development process of the master healthy kids healthy food schools. The sample was a school with outstanding performance, ready to be a master healthy kids healthy food school. Collected data by in-dept interview and focus group discussion. The tool consists of basic information survey, assessment form of the master healthy kids healthy food schools and structured interview form. Data analysis by using descriptive statistics and content analysis.

     The results of the study found that the sample had a management model by defining as the main policy of the school. There are clear plans and operations according to the plan, monitoring and evaluation system under the cooperation of all network partners. The operational success factor is due to the faith in the Royal Project. Executive give importance and support, the operation team is strong and have a commitment to work, selfless, cooperation from network for cooperation with emphasis on child-centered development. The process of operation and development makes the school to have an excellent assessment, have success levels in productivity and results at a very good level but the impact was only at a good level. The students have desirable health behaviors, have a public mind in health promotion and environmental health, but have over nutritional and have academic achievement only at a fair level. Found problems and obstacles in agricultural produce is not enough to arrange lunch for the students. It is suggested to use the research results to expand and develop as a learning source, to create Thai children to grow as a healthy populations and is the nation power in the future, bring problems and obstacles of operations and operating results as a "development opportunity", according to the National Strategy 20 year period (2560-2579 B.C.), linked from a central level down to the regional level and local level.
