Factors contributing to the success of exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months among. Working mother in the lactation clinic health promotion center region 1 Chang mai
Abstract
Breastfeeding alone in the first 6 months of life without giving any food even water. (Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months or Exclusive Breastfeeding; EBF) is the best feeding method for infants. However, the recent EBF situation in the year 2016 in Thailand is relatively low (23.1%). One important factor contributing to unsuccessful of EBF is the "working mothers" group. Lactation clinic Health Promotion Center Region1 Chiang Mai continuous improvement program for working mothers resulted in increasing of EBF in the breastfeeding clinic (56.0% in 2016).
The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting the success of EBF for working mothers at Lactation clinic. This will lead to the development of more effective and effective counseling and support models. This study was a retrospective cross-sectional study by reviewing the outpatient history file. And the form of follow-up breastfeeding. Working Mother Group October 2014 to September 2019 was used to analyze relationships with chi-square.
A total of 131 of working mothers were successful in EBF 82 working mothers and those with a statistically significant association with EBF were those with fast start-up periods. Outside the home at the day care nursery and cup feeding method.
So the program supports EBF. To success. Should start the program
assoonas possible. Especially before 1 month old and cup feeding is good support to success breastfeeding.
