The Study of Revisited Patients within 24 Hours at the Emergency Room and were Admitted in Lamphun Hospital.

The purpose of this descriptive study was to study the revisited patients within 24 hours at the emergency room and also was admitted in Lamphun Hospital from October 2011 to September 2013. Which sort out the Out-Patient revisited, either the revisited patients with an appointment. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics.
The results were 104 revisited patients within 24 hours at the emergency room and also were admitted in Lamphun Hospital. Female more than male. Age group was 0 to 15 years old. They were getting to the hospital without an ambulance. This illness was not from an accident either had no personal illness . The severity of their illness was the 4th level. The time that they usually visited were during 08.30 am. to 04.30 pm. And they spent time at the emergency room was less than one hour. The mostly cause of returning to the emergency room was from the factor of illness which had worsened, not improved, or was being a side effect of the treatment from the abdominal pain. Conclusions and recommendations: The revisited patients within 24 hours were pediatrics with abdominal pain in the 4th level severity of illness. Causes of revisited was the illness wasn’t improved that could lead to severe complications, death or deformity finally. The result of this study can use to develop the system of nursing service at an emergency room and also led to decrease revisit with severe complication that usage to the provider.
