BACKGROUND Regional anesthesia of patients undergoing cesarean section with spinal anesthesia is less risk of death commonly avoid complications of difficult intubation ,aspirate than general anesthesia used to parturients because of many benefits. And intrathecal morphine is effective in postoperative pain control.
OBJECTIVE To explore complication of spinal block and its relate factor in patients undergoing cesarean section
METHODS A retrospective descriptive study was conducted in 357 cesarean section patients from October 2016 - September 2017 in Fang Hospital. Data collected from medical records. Descriptive statistics, chi-square, and multiple logistic regressions were used to analyze the data.
RESULTS It is emerged that 69.2% of the study samples were Intro operating complication in addition, 3.9% were Post operating complication. Incidence of hypotension and nausea vomiting from spinal anesthesia still high. Of all hypothesized factors, physical status was associated with statistically significant at 0.05.
CONCLUSIONS AND DISCUSSIONS Spinal block provides safety in patients undergoing cesarean section at Fang Hospital. Physical status factor was associated with spinal anesthesia. But incidence of hypotension and nausea vomiting from spinal anesthesia still high. Further study guidelines for prevents side effect of spinal anesthesia.
