The Effects of Transactional Program by Home Visit and Application Line on Self-Care Behaviors in Adolescent Pregnant Women with Iron Deficiency Anemia

This quasi-experimental research aimed to compare the effects of transactional program by home visit, application LINE and normal routine nursing care on self-care behaviors and hematocrit in adolescent pregnant woman with iron deficiency anemia in antenatal care of Samutprakan hospital. There were 25 participants in each group. The research tools used to do transactional program was based on King’s theory using home visit and LINE application. Instruments included self-care behavior questionnaire; its content validity IOC was 0.76 and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.78. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, median, Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, and Kruskal-Wallis test. Significance level was set at p< .05. The results revealed that adolescent pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia in the group receiving target transactional program using LINE application had better self-care behavior and hematocrit than those with home visit and the normal routine nursing care group (p< .01).
