Basic statistics for health science research: the study design and measurement scale

Abstract

In postgraduate studying, some students did not understand and could not use the statistics well, leading to inability to interpret results and perform critical thinking in the literature review, as well as the problems in the research, and writing the report and manuscript steps. In this CE article, the classification of research types, and measurement scale, which are the basic issues for selecting the proper statistics would be reviewed.
