Essential Oil Distillation System Using Solar Cells and Internet of Things Technology
Keywords:
essential oil distillation, solar cells, Internet of ThingsAbstract
The development of an essential oil distillation system that integrates renewable energy from solar cells with Internet of Things: IoT technology aims to enhance production efficiency, reduce energy costs, and improve the consistency of product quality. Traditional essential oil distillation requires a high amount of thermal energy, resulting in continuously rising production expenses, particularly when electric stoves are used as the primary heat source. Implementing an on-grid solar power generation system therefore plays a crucial role in reducing electricity consumption, decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, and minimizing environmental impacts, aligning with the principles of sustainable production.
The study found that the distillation system integrating renewable energy and IoT was able to reduce distillation time by approximately 32% and decrease labor requirements by more than 66.7% compared with conventional control processes. In addition, the use of solar renewable energy reduced dependence on grid electricity, resulting in lower energy costs and a more environmentally friendly production process.
