Implementation of a Server Diskless for Automatic Classroom

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the implementation of a Server Diskless to control the computer room and to develop an information system which can be integrated with a Server Diskless for automatic classroom. The processes is composed of the following steps: (1) study the basic information and analyses the system for problem solving and implementing of a Server Diskless, (2) Design a system to create a Local Area Network to connect 50 computers and use Data Flow Diagram (DFD) to stimulate the system and use Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) to stimulate the structure of data storage, (3) Development of a testing system in terms of concept and all of the related functions, and (4) Evaluation of the performance of the system from 114 users and the results that have shown which are good performance from the integration between Server Diskless system and the information system which is developed. The processes by; creating users and passwords to control the client computer, scoring assignments, recording and managing users effectively. Furthermore, the evaluation of the performance from users found that the performance of the system was at a high level.
