Publication Ethics

The roles and responsibilities of the authors

  1. The author must certify that the submitted article is an original work and has not been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. The author must certify that the submitted article is not currently awaiting publication in any journal or other print media.
  3. Authors must report facts arising from research, not distort information or provide false information.
  4. Authors must cite the work of others. If those works are used in their own works, including complete reference list
  5. Authors must write articles correctly according to the format specified in the journal template.
  6. All authors listed in the article must be authors who have contributed to actual writing. In the case of a research article, all authors must participate in the actual research process. The author who submits the article must check the author completely, the editorial team does not allow name changes after submission article.

 

The roles and responsibilities of editorial team

  1. The editorial team are responsible for determining the quality of articles for publication in their journals responsible.
  2. The editorial team must not disclose information about authors and reviewers to anyone not involved in the evaluation process during the evaluation period.
  3. The editorial team must make the decision to select articles for publication after they have undergone the evaluation process. This decision is based on factors such as significance, novelty, clarity, and alignment of the content with the journal's policies.
  4. The editorial team must not publish articles that have been previously published elsewhere.
  5. The editorial team must not reject the publication of an article based on doubt or uncertainty, and must provide evidence to support any such doubts before making a decision.
  6. The editorial team must not have conflicting interests with the authors, article reviewers, and the management team.
  7. The editorial team must thoroughly check articles for plagiarism using reliable software to ensure that the published articles in the journal do not contain copied work from others.
  8. If plagiarism is detected during the editorial review process, the editorial team must halt the evaluation process and immediately contact the primary author to request clarification to determine whether to 'accept' or 'reject' the publication of the article.

 

The role and responsibilities of article reviewers

  1. Reviewers are required to maintain confidentiality and not disclose any part or the entirety of the submitted articles for evaluation to individuals not involved in the review process during the evaluation period.
  2. After receiving the article from the editorial staff of the journal, If the reviewer of the article realizes that he or she may have a conflict of interest with the author, such as being a contributor or knowing the author personally, or reasoning others make it impossible to independently give feedback and suggestions. Reviewers should notify the journal editor and decline evaluation of the article.
  3. Reviewers should evaluate articles in their area of expertise, considering the significance of the content to that specific field. They should assess the quality of analysis and the depth of the work. Personal opinions without supporting evidence should not be used as criteria for judging research articles.
  4. Reviewers are required to specify significant research works relevant to the article under evaluation. If the authors fail to reference such works, the reviewers should point this out. Additionally, if any part of the article resembles or duplicates content from other sources, the reviewers must bring it to the attention of the editorial team.

 

Research ethics in humans and animals

     The research article submitted for publication must comply with ethical standards, especially when it involves human or animal subjects. For studies related to human research, the author must obtain approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee of an institution accredited by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). In the case of experiments involving animals, the study should be conducted under the guidelines and approval of the Animal Ethics Committee. Additionally, the study must align with the provisions of the Animal for Scientific Purposes Act of 2015.
