Factors Affecting Sexual Attitude among Primary School Children in Uttaradit Town Municipality

Abstract
The purposes of descriptive predictive research were to 1) examine sexual attitudes among primary school children in Uttaradit town municipality. 2) the factors affecting sexual attitude among primary school children in Uttaradit town municipality. The sample consisted of 345 school children of the academic year 2023 by a stratified random sampling. The research instruments were the questionnaire on perception and sexual attitude, parenting styles, and family communication on sexual issues. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient ranged from .82 - .94. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.
The result showed that 1) the level of sexual attitudes among primary school children in Uttaradit town municipality was at a high level. 2) the factors affecting sexual attitude among primary school children in Uttaradit town municipality were the parenting styles and family communication on sexual issues which influenced the sexual healthcare behaviors with 33.80 percent (p<.001). The results of this research can serve as the appropriate sexual attitude promotion among primary school children, the health team personnel should consider the parenting styles and family communication on sexual issues.
