The Development of Self-Directed Learning Media in Sexual Harassment Protection of Undergraduate Student in Lampang Province

Abstract
This research study aimed to examine the sexual harassment prevention measures and self-directed learning media utilized in higher education to prevent sexual harassment from July 2021 to June 2022. A total 433 students of the university were recruited into this research. The research instrument consisted of 1) a questionnaire on factor related to awareness, 2) self-protective behaviors and 3) online self-directed learning media for preventing sexual harassment, assessed with an Item Objective Congruence (IOC) from .67 to 1. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlation coefficient. It was reviewed by three experts content validity coefficient was .67 - 1. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient.
The research found that: 1) statistically significant factors related to sexual harassment prevention behaviors at the .05 level, including perceptions of sexual harassment, assertive behavior, self-worth, and online media literacy, with correlation coefficients ranging from .158 to .436. 2) the self-directed learning media used to prevent sexual harassment was a webpage that covered sexual harassment knowledge, situations to raise awareness, online media literacy, appropriate expression skills, and self-esteem skill training. 3) comparing sexual harassment prevention behaviors before and after using the media indicated a significant difference at the .05 level (t=2.085, p-value = .042), with the mean after using self-directed learning media being higher (𝑥̅= 2.51, SD = .279) than before (𝑥̅= 2.37, SD =.409).
Higher education institutions should integrate self-directed learning media on sexual into teaching and co-curricular activities
