Effects of Lecturing with Transformative Learning on Thinking and Creative Thinking among Nursing Students in a University

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of lecturing with transformative learning on thinking and creative thinking among nursing students in a university. The research consisted of two steps. The first step was the development of the teaching model, the second step was the experimentation of the teaching model. The sample group was 47 students in Bachelor of Nursing Program, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, academic year 2022. The t-test was employed for comparing in between group.
The results showed that the effect of lecturing with transformative learning on thinking among nursing students consists of four steps: 1) encountering experiences, 2) reflecting on experiences, 3) discussing ideas, and 4) changing. The results of the assessment of analytical thinking skills and creating new ideas from the original conceptual framework after studying were higher than before were statistically significant at .05 level. Summary of this research reflects the future trend of lecturing and learning management with the transformative learning process in the Bachelor of Nursing program for learners to come up with a new thought process and be able to change in a current health problem.
