Anxiety and Anxiety management of Parents with ill children admitted to Pediatric Department Trang Center Hospital

Abstract
The aim of this descriptive research was to study anxiety of parents, the parents anxiety management and relationship between anxiety and parents anxiety management, When the children are admitted at the pediatric department Trang Hospital. Three hundred and seventeen Parents with ill children admitted to the Pediatric department 1 and 2 at Trang Hospital recruited using systematic sampling. Instruments used in this study consisted a questionnaire for general information of parents or caregivers, general children questionnaire, anxiety questionnaire and anxiety management questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation.
The results revealed that Anxiety for Parents with ill children admitted to the Pediatric Department at Trang Center Hospital.
1) Overall, anxiety at the moderate level ( X= 3.01, SD=1.26) and when considering mean scores of each dimension, The level of symptoms of anxiety on the body at the moderate level ( = 3.16, SD=1.16) and the least is the level of behavior (X = 2.92, SD=1.34) managing anxiety for caregiver whose children adm9itted to the pediatric department at Trang Hospital.
2) The overall level is very high (X = 3.47, SD=1.08) Considering the individual aspect and when considering mean scores of each dimension ,The most anxiety behavior ( = 3.60, SD = 1.05) was at high level, The mean score of anxiety on the body ( X= 3.60, SD=1.05)) was at the high level and minimal Management of psychological anxiety ( = 3.34, SD=1.14) was at a moderate level
3) There was a positively significant correlation between Anxiety and Managing Anxiety (r=.074, p<.01).
