A Research and Development of The Model for Promoting Characteristics of The Humanized Health Care Among The Nursing Students

Abstract

          This developmental research aimed to develop the model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care among the nursing students and to determine effectiveness of develop The model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care. The study employed fourth phases as followed. The first phase was a need assessment by reviewing literature and in-depth interviews. The second phase involved implementation of the model developing The model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care among the nursing students by appreciative inquiry. The third phase involved implementation of the model. The samples were 40 nursing students of academic year 2017 purposively selected from second year nursing students, Boromarajonani college of nursing, Uttaradit. The fourth phase assessing the effectiveness of the model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care among the nursing with 5 teachers and 40 second year nursing students. The research tools for data collection were 1) The model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care 2) In-depth interview about characteristics of the humanized health care 3) The characteristics of the humanized health care questionnaire. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation t-test.


          The findings were as follows. The model for promoting characteristics of the humanized health care among the nursing students by appreciative inquiry contained 4 sequential steps; 1) discovery; 2) dreaming; 3) design; 4) destiny There are 11 activities that are consistent with the appreciative inquiry process. After implementing the model, The Humanized Health Care among the nursing students were increased and statistically significantly different at .5 (p < .05) and the teacher and nursing students are satisfied with the model at high level.
