การเปรียบเทียบผลทันทีของการรักษาด้วยเทคนิคการกดจุดตามด้วยการยืดเหยียดกล้ามเนื้อและการรักษาด้วยเทคนิคการยืดเหยียดกล้ามเนื้อตามด้วยการกดจุดในผู้ที่มีอาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อและพังผืดของกล้ามเนื้อทราพีเซียสส่วนบน

การวิจัยนี้เป็นวิจัยกึ่งทดลองแบบสองกลุ่มวัดผลก่อนหลังการทดลอง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบผลทันทีของการรักษาด้วยเทคนิคการกดจุดตามด้วยการยืดเหยียดกล้ามเนื้อ (กลุ่มที่1) และการรักษาด้วยเทคนิคการยืดเหยียดกล้ามเนื้อตามด้วยการกดจุด (กลุ่มที่2) ในผู้ที่มีอาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อและพังผืดของกล้ามเนื้อทราพีเซียสส่วนบนที่ส่งผลต่อระดับอาการปวด (VAS) และระดับความรู้สึกกดเจ็บ (PPT) ในผู้ที่มีอาการปวดคอและบ่าที่มีสาเหตุมาจากกลุ่มอาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อและพังผืด อาสาสมัครที่คัดเลือกแบบเจาะจงจำนวน 40 คนถูกสุ่มแบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่มเพื่อเข้ารับการรักษาด้วยเทคนิคทั้งสอง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยมีความน่าเชื่อถือในระดับดีมาก ได้แก่ visual analog scale (ICC=0.97) และ algometer (ICC=0.96) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและการทดสอบที
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าภายหลังการรักษาทันที VAS และ PPT เมื่อเปรียบเทียบระหว่างกลุ่มไม่พบ ความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ อย่างไรก็ตาม VAS ของทั้งสองกลุ่มภายหลังการรักษาทันที มีการลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) ส่วน PPT ของทั้งสองกลุ่มภายหลังการรักษาทันทีพบ มีการเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) กลุ่มที่2 สามารถลด VAS และเพิ่ม PPT ได้มากกว่ากลุ่มที่ 1 จากผลการศึกษาจึงสรุปได้ว่าการรักษาทั้งสองกลุ่มสามารถลด VAS และเพิ่ม PPT ในผู้ที่มีอาการปวดคอและบ่าที่มีสาเหตุมาจากกลุ่มอาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อและพังผืดได้
