Elderly Health Promotion by Three Main Concepts

Thailand is moving towards a society that is rapidly aging. Age results in physical, mental, social, and spiritual degeneration. Indeed, elderly’s capacities are gradually decreasing, even without underlying diseases. Therefore, promoting physical, mental, social, and spiritual health must be focused on delaying such degeneration in elderly. This article aimed to present a guideline to promoting health in elderly, based on 3 main concepts: food, exercise, and emotion. The contents included health promotion concepts, and the elderly health promotion guideline. The guideline is an option that can be used to effectively promote elderly’s health with efficiently.
