The Competency of Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Islamic Leaders to Solve Anemia of Muslim Pregnant Women in Southern Border Province, Thailand

This study aimed to explore the of knowledge, attitude, and practice about anemia in Islamic leader towards pregnant Muslims. The purposive sampling was used to select 248 Islamic leaders in Narathiwas to be participants of the study. Sampling by sample size determination. Instrument used in the study included. The demographic data questionnaire, and the competency of knowledge, attitude, and practice about anemia. The content validity index was 1. The reliability of Instrument was tested with 10 Islamic leaders yielding Conbach, s alpha Coenfficients of 81. Collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics.
The results of the study show that most of the sample have competency to solve Anemia of Muslim Pregnant Women in Southern Border Province. The knowledge and attitudes overall was at a moderate level (M=3.17, SD=1.08). Mean score of attitude was at highest score (M=3.23, SD=1.02), mean score of knowledge was the lowest (M=3.11, SD=1.03). In practice, most of the respondents did not provide counseling or counseling to pregnant women with anemia. 94.35 % did not cooperate with public health officials in resolving anemia during pregnancy. 91.94 % and did not want to be trained by the Islamic Committee to advise them on the problem of anemia during pregnancy 64.92 %. Recommendation included the process involved in solving problems. The health personnel should raise awareness of Islamic leaders about the effects of pregnancy anemia by providing knowledge or training. And then interested roles of Islamic leaders join the community health team. To manage problems and participate in advocacy to address anemia during pregnancy.To solve the problem effectively and sustainably.the nursing should development of the theory to application and prepare students before to nursing practicum and to increase their confidence in nursing practicum.
