ความชุกและปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้สูงอายุ อำเภอป่าพะยอม จังหวัดพัทลุง

การศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์ภาคตัดขวางครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุกของภาวะซึมเศร้า และปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้สูงอายุ การศึกษาครั้งนี้ทำการศึกษาในกลุ่มประชากรผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุ 60 ปี ขึ้นไป จำนวน 1,692 คน ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนในโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ในพื้นที่อำเภอป่าพะยอม จังหวัดพัทลุง เก็บข้อมูลระหว่างเดือน มกราคม ถึง มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2561 เครื่องมือวิจัยที่ใช้คือแบบสอบถามข้อมูลคุณลักษณะทางประชากร และแบบประเมินภาวะซึมเศร้า โดยใช้แบบคัดกรองภาวะซึมเศร้า 2 คำถาม (2Q) และ 9 คำถาม (9Q) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติถดถอยพหุคูณโลจิสติก ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. ความชุกของภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้สูงอายุเท่ากับร้อยละ 8.63
2. ผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุ 80 ปี ขึ้นไป (ORadj=2.00, 95% CI: 1.20-3.34) ผู้สูงอายุที่มีโรคประจำตัว (ORadj=1.96, 95%CI: 1.26-3.03) และผู้สูงอายุที่ไม่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของชมรมผู้สูงอายุ (ORadj=14.40, 95%CI: 6.20-33.46) มีความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้สูงอายุอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P<0.05)
จากผลการศึกษาดังกล่าวบุคลากรสาธารณสุขควรส่งเสริมและเฝ้าระวังผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุ 80 ปี ขึ้นไป และผู้ที่มีโรคประจำตัวอย่างใกล้ชิด รวมทั้งส่งเสริมให้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมของชมรมผู้สูงอายุ เพื่อเป็นการป้องกันภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้สูงอายุ ต่อไป
