Effectiveness of the Application of Communication on Social Media to Prevention Food Poisoning Behavior Modification Program among Secondary School Students, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.

Abstract
This quasi-experimental research aimed to explore the effectiveness of the
application of communication on social media to prevention food poisoning behavior
modification among secondary school students, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The
sample included 400 secondary school students from 2 secondary school (200 subjects in
experimental group and 200 subjects in the control group). The experimental group
received program of the application of communication on social media. Data was collected
through self-administered questionnaires. Statistical analysis was done by using percentage,
mean, standard deviation, paired sample t-test and independent t-test
The results of the study revealed that after the experiment, the experimental
group’s knowledge about food poisoning, attitude toward food poisoning prevention,
perception of threat appraisal, perception on coping response toward food poisoning
prevention and food poisoning prevention behavior was found compared to before the
experimentation and of the comparison group (p<0.001). The results show that the
program of the application of communication on social media was effective in developing
food poisoning prevention behavior in secondary school student. This type of program can
be applied to secondary school.
