Abstract

Abstract

The action research has the objectives to study and develop a model for tuberculosis management in prisons. By using the collaboration of researchers, multi-disciplinary teams, prison staff and affiliate networks There are 3 phases of the research process: phase 1: context study phase 2: development of TB management model and phase 3: experimentation and study of results. Descriptive statistical data analysis and content analysis.

The results of the situation study revealed that there were 3 main issues that were obstacles to the implementation, namely 1) the unconnected TB operation model of the agencies; 3) Discrete information reporting and treatment tracking system This led to the development of 4 innovations of tuberculosis management models in prisons: 1) TB 4Screen Model 2) One-Stop Care Model 3) Management of ENV to reduce health risk factors 4) Organizing a referral system and providing consultation The results of the model development showed that the inmates were screened 100% by x-ray, and the patients were treated and registered according to the criteria 100%. There was no drug withdrawal rate after receiving TB treatment. Suggestions should be applied to the developed model and expand it into the policy of all hospitals and prisons across the country. To achieve continuous effective tuberculosis control through the model of the TB Control Committee and prisons that work together.
